Job summary

Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center in Skokie, IL; with a footprint in Chicago, IL, seeks a Security Technology and Operations Coordinator to oversee security technology, coordinate with IT and facilities, manage vendor relations, and support security operations onsite.

The role is non-exempt, full-time, requires one weekend day and possible evenings, and offers a salary range of $50,000–$60,000 plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience administering security systems (video surveillance, access control, intrusion, and alarm systems).
• College degree preferred.
• Must pass a thorough criminal background check.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including one weekend day and occasional evenings.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, test, maintain, and coordinate repairs, upgrades, and vendor support for security technology systems.
• Coordinate with IT, Facilities, and external vendors to ensure effective operation of access control, CCTV, and other security technologies.
• Recommend technology enhancements and assist in developing policies, procedures, and standards related to security systems.
• Support daily security operations, staffing coordination, event security, and visitor/employee protection initiatives.
• Assist with incident response, post-order development, after-action reviews, and emergency preparedness activities, drills, and exercises.
• Maintain active involvement in frontline security operations to ensure technology solutions support operational needs.
