Dewberry is seeking a talented Security/Technology (Low Voltage) Designer to enhance our Technology group within the Engineering Design Center located in Birmingham, AL. In this dynamic role, you will leverage your 3+ years of experience in low-voltage systems while also embracing the chance to develop your expertise across various technical disciplines and management. Key Required Certifications

• Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD)
• Certified Protection Professional (CPP)
• Physical Security Professional (PSP)

Responsibilities

• Provide technical design for discipline area.
• Peer review project work for the discipline area.
• Work with team members in establishing/improving standards for discipline area.
• Adherence to project design schedules.
• Adherence to discipline project budgets.
• Pay attention to project scope during the design process to identify potential additional services.
• Provide general updates of projects (status in the process, tasks to complete, percentage complete currently, etc.).
• Identify milestone dates when each discipline should provide information, at each phase, to allow sufficient time for good design coordination.
• Provide on‑the‑spot advice and decisions, technical and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with all of the disciplines involved, including outside consultants.

Required Skills & Experience
