Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque is seeking a Security Technician to help maintain a safe, secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff across the hospital campus. The role requires conducting patrols, responding to incidents, and enforcing safety standards daily.

You will document activities, assist in hazard surveillance, and collaborate with local agencies as needed while upholding hospital policies.

Qualifications

  • Less than 1 year security experience; 1 year preferred.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Must drive a company vehicle; NM driver's license required.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts routine and ad hoc patrols of hospital buildings and premises to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, and unauthorized visitors.
  • Responds to Workplace Violence reports, and notifies appropriate Security Division supervisor as appropriate.
  • Conducts investigations, maintains records and prepares incident reports and other documents pertaining to security as required.
  • Maintain and enforce established departmental/organizational policies and procedures.
  • Interacts and professionally manages issues with employees, physicians, visitors, contractors, and vendors and all who come in contact with PHS.
  • Collaborates with local, state and federal agencies as required and approved by PHS.

This role requires a vigilant and professional team member who can conduct thorough patrols, respond effectively to incidents, communicate clearly with diverse groups, and uphold safety and security standards across the facility.
