Position

We are seeking a Security Systems Technical Specialist to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) Business Unit. You will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates, and maintains electronic security services, including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio-visual, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local, and commercial clients across high-growth markets.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage physical security system support to meet service level agreements.
  2. Analyze physical security system performance and recommend improvements.
  3. Resolve complex system issues for physical security systems and networks.
  4. Provide Tier 3 support to the system administration team.
  5. Program and integrate entire systems at a global level, utilizing advanced networking and system administration skills.
  6. Communicate with customers, manufacturers, vendors, and system administrators.
  7. Train system users and support personnel.
  8. Analyze and modify preventive maintenance checklists for system changes.
  9. Troubleshoot system performance issues and implement corrective actions.
  10. Perform preventive maintenance, including backups, error log reviews, and database checks.
  11. Document system performance and support activities thoroughly.
  12. Set up desktop hardware and operating systems, load imaging software, and update antivirus software.
  13. Research and evaluate existing and future systems to ensure interoperability and constructability.
  14. Perform and manage PITCO's and final system programming.
  15. Provide on-site support post-deployment.
  16. Interpret engineering drawings and understand SOP and SOW documentation.
  17. Maintain test lab equipment.
  18. Assist with annual performance evaluations.
  19. Ensure remote PITCO and access are available.
  20. Coordinate with engineering and field personnel on installation and design efficiency.
  21. Provide advanced database support and conduct research on new system manufacturers.
  22. Delegate tasks and support Level I and II Electronics Technical Specialists.
  23. Develop and build PITCO using 60% or 90% designs, ensuring adherence to SOW.
  24. Respond to support calls and document support activities.
  25. Perform research and development on new systems.
  26. Perform all duties with minimal supervision.
Qualifications

Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

Key Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience with installation, troubleshooting, or testing of electronic security systems.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; 10+ years with an Associate's; 7+ years with a Bachelor's degree.
  • Reliable attendance at customer sites during required hours.
Desired Qualifications
  • Vendor certifications (Hirsch, BOSCH, Aiphone).
  • Knowledge of analog and digital video equipment.
  • CAD experience for building and installation documentation.
  • Ability to write SOPs for ESS Install projects.
  • System administrator experience in troubleshooting, resolving, analyzing, and extending systems.
