Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Tech Specialist 2 (Security Administrator) to join the Security and Electronic Systems unit in Columbus. You will analyze system performance, support administration, and maintain security services across intrusion detection, access control and video systems.

The role offers opportunities to work with federal, local, and commercial customers, with ongoing training, leadership development, and tuition reimbursement as part of a collaborative engineering environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 8+ years of installation, troubleshooting and/or testing of electronic security systems.
• System administrator experience in triage, problem resolution, data analysis and workstation/extensions.
• Reliable attendance at customer sites during work hours.

Responsibilities

• Analyze system performance and recommend improvements.
• Provide support to the system administration and engineering team.
• Troubleshoot systems and operating systems with networking knowledge.
• Interface with customers, manufacturers, vendors and system administrators.
• Train system users and other support personnel.
• Prepare detailed documentation of system performance and service records.
• Provide on-site system support post deployment.
• Read blueprints, schematics and SOWs and coordinate with field personnel.
