VP of Security | Security Solution Architect

We’re looking for a Security Systems Project Engineer — someone technically sharp who can take ownership of door hardware spec'ing, system scoping, and on-the-fly support for our nationwide technician team. This person must be able to bridge the gap between sales, engineering, and field services—while helping drive project momentum and reduce bottlenecks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review site plans, photos, and video walkthroughs to identify correct door hardware (e.g., strikes, maglocks, REX, sensors) and ensure compatibility with platforms like Verkada, Lenel, or traditional access control systems
• Build out detailed BoMs and deployment scopes for doors, cameras, and network infrastructure
• Provide real-time remote support to field technicians, helping troubleshoot wiring, reader configurations, controller setup, and connectivity issues
• Assist with the development and review of statements of work (SoWs) and post-install documentation
• Coordinate logistics, credentialing, and pre-deployment planning with subcontractors and internal engineers
• Identify issues early in the rollout and proactively resolve or escalate them to minimize delays
• Provide backup quoting and tech support for new proposals as needed

Requirements:

• 3+ years experience in commercial security installations, preferably access control
• Strong understanding of door hardware selection, system design, and low-voltage wiring best practices
• Experience with Verkada, Lenel, Openpath, Brivo, or similar platforms
• Ability to read floor plans, interpret site photos, and scope projects remotely
• Confident supporting on-site techs via phone, text, or video in real time
• Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a high-paced, startup-style environment

Location & Compensation:

• Remote or hybrid (U.S.-based, Eastern/Central preferred)
• $70,000 – $90,000 depending on experience
• Bonuses tied to project success and throughput
