Job summary

Siemens Mobility seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead multiple security systems projects across hospitals, universities, and industrial facilities in the greater Washington, D.C. area from our Laurel, MD location. You’ll oversee schedules, procurement, subcontractors, and billing while ensuring safety and quality outcomes.

The role requires 21+ years, US work authorization, and 5+ years in commercial security/CCTV. A degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• On-the-job or educational experience in the commercial security access/CCTV industry.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications and electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
• Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements for Siemens' fleet vehicle program.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
• Preferred: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years technical experience in the commercial security access/CCTV industry.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate project specifications, drawings, and related documents to understand project intentions, establishing comprehensive project schedules in coordination with the team.
• Oversee the procurement of supplies and materials required for project completion, and participate in project cost reviews for financial efficiency.
• Assist the Operations Manager in contracting subcontractors, coordinating activities to align with scope, schedules, and fiscal requirements while ensuring safety compliance.
• Conduct orientations for project technicians, providing scope of work, technical drawings, project contacts, and diagrams.
• Diligently track resources and progress, document events affecting schedule/scope, and pursue change orders.
• Manage billing coordination with accounting, schedule commissioning resources, and ensure timely close-out documentation.
