Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Security System Supervisor to lead the electronic security program for Austin State Hospital. The role manages surveillance, access control, and telecommunications systems, aligning with safety goals and regulatory standards.

The incumbent supervises staff, coordinates with vendors, and ensures system reliability through preventive and corrective maintenance, with a focus on safeguarding patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of large complex video systems and software.
• Knowledge of access control systems.
• Knowledge of multi-frequency radio communication devices.
• Knowledge of A/V and video conferencing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees the facility's Video Surveillance System and monitors operational status.
• Provides oversight for the facility's Access Control System and security controls.
• Plans equipment requirements, supervises installation, and ensures preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Manages contractor work on campus and ensures adherence to contracts.
