The role emphasizes collaboration with engineers, technicians, and management, with daily reporting and hands-on testing to guarantee system performance and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Security Technician or in a similar role.
• Experience with networks, control systems, intercom systems, surveillance systems, security systems, or access control systems.
• Familiarity with Salient Systems, Avigilon Systems, DMP, ELK, Bosch, Genea, Openpath, Lenel OnGuard, or similar systems.
• Ability to work with a team and communicate effectively with internal and external project stakeholders.
• Ability to log project hours and complete work orders in company systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage installation of technology integration systems.
• Run wire and furnish/install technology devices.
• Work with lead installers to manage the day-to-day onsite scope of work.
• Coordinate communication among design, project management, lead installer, and other trades.
• Install intrusion detection, access control, CCTV, and intercom systems according to drawings, manufacturer instructions, codes, and standards.
• Test and commission systems for functionality and compliance.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain electronic security systems.
• Complete installations and service calls efficiently while minimizing waste, overtime, and rework.
• Utilize and maintain field software for time entry, task entry, project status, drawing annotations, and pictures.
• Follow safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and report hazards.
• Explain system functions and resolve client concerns onsite.
• Complete daily reports, redlines, timesheets, and as-built drawings.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technicians throughout projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance or customer experience and relay them to supervisors.
