Job summary

GHD is seeking a Security Design Consultant to lead the design of Electronic Security Systems (ESS) including ACS, CCTV, IDS, vehicle barriers, and intercoms. You will collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to produce drawings, specifications, and cost estimates from concept to closeout.

The role requires strong project management, client engagement, and knowledge of security technologies. The position offers a hybrid work model with some travel in the Washington DC area and

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• ASIS PSP certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months); CPP a plus.
• Experience with access control, CCTV/NVR, video analytics, intercom systems.
• Strong communication and multi-disciplinary project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architectural/engineering teams to develop design drawings and specifications.
• Prepare cost estimates from conceptual design through construction documents.
• Manage multi-disciplinary projects and engage stakeholders across regions.
• Contribute to bid responses and ensure adherence to codes and standards.
• Conduct design testing and feasibility studies for proposed security solutions.
