Johnson Controls is seeking a Security Systems Associate Technician 2 to support customers in the Aurora, CO area. You will troubleshoot and service burglar Alarm, Fire, CCTV and Card Access systems, working with tools and devices to restore operation and security for clients.

You’ll coordinate with the care center, provide proactive solutions, and deliver high-level service on building systems while identifying upsell opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3–4 years’ experience installing and inspecting/repairing Tyco Integrated Security or comparable product line.
• Experience with Card Access/CCTV/IP cameras.
• HIRSCH Certificate.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Electrical/Electronic background.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and service security systems for customers.
• Repair or replace burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, Card Access systems.
• Provide status updates to customers and the care center on systems and inspections.
• Coordinate inspections and/or installations with authorities as needed.
• Prepare quotes and upsell opportunities to support recommendations.

What You Will Do

A Johnson Controls Service Technician is a troubleshooter and service expert. You will alleviate concerns the customer may have regarding a security system. You will advise customers and the customer care center of the status of systems and processes/inspections. You will repair or replace burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV systems, Card Access systems and other security equipment. This Technician will be set up with all of the tools and equipment needed to work independently from a remote location. Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service related items. As a trusted advisor to our customers you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service.

How You Will Do It

As a Commercial Service Technician you will locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring; readjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation. Prepare trouble order forms to report temporary repairs. You will also coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies. Service Technicians will be responsible for the service and repair of Commercial Security/Fire Alarm/CCTV/Card Access systems. Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility running efficiently, including upselling opportunities. Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

What We Look For

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-4 years’ experience installing and inspecting/repairing Tyco Integrated Security or comparable product line.
• Experience with Card Access/CCTV/IP cameras
• HIRSCH Certificate
• Excellent communication skills.
• Electrical/Electronic background.
• Valid driver's license.

Preferred

• Fire alarm experience preferred.
• Some college preferred.
• NICET II or greater preferred.

Hiring Hourly Range

$20.10 - $27.60 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.).
