Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an Assembly Technician 1 to support the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit. The role involves assembling equipment, wiring terminations, and preparing components for shipping within a robust engineering environment.

You will work across high-growth markets for federal, local, and commercial customers, contributing to intrusions detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, and IT systems integration.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 3 years of experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Comfort working at heights up to 60 feet and on various ladders/scaffolds.

Responsibilities

• Prepares equipment, devices, and components for shipping.
• Reads, interprets, and follows fabrication documents and drawings to assemble equipment.
• Assists with verifying, testing, and documenting wiring terminations and cabling.
• Maintains progress status by documenting actions and needs.
• Updates progress and daily time charging in M.C. Dean systems.
• Assembles equipment racks, enclosures, and components for assembly and shipping.
• Routes, secures, and terminates basic copper cables and harnesses.
• Kits equipment and materials for assembly and shipping.
