Security Systems Application Specialist @Microsoft Corporate

LMC Consulting Group is a leading management consulting firm in the Pacific Northwest. We have an opening for a Security Application Specialist to work for Microsoft’s Corporate Headquarters in their Digital Technology Systems group. The group focuses on managing third-party security-related systems on Microsoft’s corporate network, including:

  • Case Management & Dispatch (Perspective)
  • Intelligence aggregation applications (SITE, Seerist, Welund)
  • Mass notification (Everbridge)

The Security Application Specialist will provide technical support for application upgrades and troubleshooting for these third-party security applications. They will collaborate with project managers, department management, and customers to ensure smooth project execution. The role may also involve business analysis of proposed changes to software, access, infrastructure, or processes, acting as a trusted advisor to management and a technical expert.

Responsibilities include tracking change requests, discussing data flow, demonstrating system functionality, developing and executing test criteria, communicating results, gathering product information from manufacturers, and managing customer relationships. This position is located in North America and involves remote work with minimal travel.

All candidates must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary: $72k to $100k depending on experience

Responsibilities
  • Define technical change requirements including scope, goals, and deliverables to support business objectives
  • Establish project success criteria and manage change requests

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have:

  • High school diploma required; associate’s degree or related certification is a plus
  • At least 3 years of experience in customer support, consulting, or system integration with application support
  • Knowledge of security tools is preferred but not mandatory
  • Certifications like CCNA, CCIE, Network+, CPP, PSP, CSPM are advantageous
  • Software development experience and scripting skills are a plus
Skills
  • Ability to work proactively in a remote environment with multiple priorities
  • Excellent facilitation, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with PowerBI
  • Experience working in diverse, global enterprise environments
  • Customer support experience is essential
  • Comfortable multitasking and engaging with detailed problem areas
  • Effective communication via email, chat, phone, and video conferencing
Requirements
  • Work hours may vary to align with global teams, including early or late hours
  • Self-managed with the ability to work remotely
  • Located in the USA and authorized to work legally
  • Up to 10% travel for system upgrades, meetings, or issue resolution
  • English language proficiency required
