Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions seeks security officers to manage shift staffing, ensure patrols are conducted and documented, and maintain facility security at partner sites in the Dayton area. The role emphasizes timely reports, staff supervision, and training oversight.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, with preferred associates degree and prior law enforcement or supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree preferred.
• Law enforcement and supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures officers assigned to shift arrive on time and are appropriately dressed and ensures the assigned shift is fully staffed
• Ensures all equipment is in working order
• Ensures officers are properly trained and evaluates officer performance in an accurate and timely manner
• Ensures all patrols occur as timed and are documented on appropriate forms
• Submits reports accurately and within the time frames specified
• Assures staff complete accurate time sheets and submit within specified time frames
• Reviews log books and incident reports for timeliness and accuracy
• Conducts required searches for contraband
• Works with center staff to control student disturbances on and off center
• Other duties as assigned
