Job summary

LyondellBasell Industries is seeking a Security Supervisor for the Channelview Complex to lead day-to-day security operations, supervise personnel, enforce policies, and coordinate with authorities. The role focuses on safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of security practices.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in security or related fields, a bachelor's in a security discipline, and strong leadership, investigations, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in security-related field; 8+ years in security/HSE, emergency response, or related area preferred.
• Experience leading and developing employees and contractors in security contexts.
• Experience coordinating with law enforcement, regulatory agencies, and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Facility Security Officer for MTSA/33 CFR 105.105 requirements.
• Supervise and develop four security technicians; enforce policies and programs.
• Direct and coordinate contract security to maintain site readiness and compliance (MARSEC/MTSA).
• Develop and implement security plans, training, and drills meeting regulatory standards.
• Conduct security vulnerability assessments and mitigation planning.
• Act as liaison with Coast Guard, law enforcement, and regulators on security matters.
• Maintain security records including training, audits, and access control docs.
