Job summary

LyondellBasell Industries in Channelview, TX is seeking a Security Supervisor to lead day-to-day security operations for the Channelview Complex, supervising 50+ contract personnel and LYB technicians while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and LYB standards.

You will develop security plans, oversee loss prevention, coordinate with Coast Guard and local authorities, and drive safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and typically 8+ years in security, HSE, or emergency response.
• 3+ years in security leadership within refining or petrochemical settings.
• Experience leading teams of employees or contractors.
• Experience coordinating with DHS, Coast Guard, and other agencies.
• Ability to obtain DHS qualifications, licenses, and security clearances.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• TWIC credentialing knowledge and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day security operations for Channelview Complex.
• Supervise 50+ contract security personnel and 4 LYB technicians.
• Coordinate contract security to maintain site readiness.
• Develop and implement security plans, drills, and training.
• Conduct security vulnerability assessments and mitigations.
• Act as liaison with Coast Guard and local authorities.
• Maintain security records and regulatory compliance.
• Support emergency response and crisis management.
• Oversee access control and TWIC programs.
• Monitor cameras, gates, alarms, and other systems.
• Perform internal investigations.
• Consult on security-related capital projects.
