Pebble Beach Company is seeking a Security Supervisor to oversee gate personnel and ensure guest and employee safety across Pebble Beach properties. You will supervise, counsel, evaluate performance, and coordinate with management to improve security operations.

The role requires at least two years of gate experience, solid math and accounting basics, a valid California driver’s license, and flexibility for weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience working the gates.
• Basic math and accounting skills.
• Valid California driver’s license and DMV report required.
• Able to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays and overnight shift.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, counsel and evaluate gate personnel on performance, appearance and interaction with visitors.
• Provide discipline and awards as necessary.
• Assist gate personnel with problems.
• Make suggestions to higher management on ways to improve performance.
• Perform the duties of a gate person while relieving them.
• Provide change to gate person on and as needed basis.
• Secure change from the General Cashiers or the banks as necessary.
• Verify banks before opening revenue day. Verify banks at the close of revenue day.
• Pick up revenue from safes at gates and deposit at the General Cashier safe at The Inn at Spanish Bay.

The Security Supervisor will ensure the safety of Pebble Beach Company property and well-being of our guests and employees through the supervision of the Security Officers. Greet residents and visitors as they enter the property. Able to clearly communicate in writing the information obtained regarding reported incidents. Must be able to obtain CPR/AED and First Aid certificates within the first 90 days of employment.

Absolutely Required Skills:

• Minimum of two years’ experience working the gates.

Desired Skills:

• Some experience in the security industry, military or law enforcement is preferred.
