GardaWorld Security Services in Richmond, VA is seeking an Overnight Supervisor to lead security operations overnight, ensuring safety and quality of service. You will supervise staff, manage schedules and reports, and liaise with the client to maintain high standards.

The role runs 12:00AM–8:00AM, Sunday–Thursday, with a wage of $19.23/hour plus a full benefits package and uniform provided.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass extensive screening.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to think quickly and adapt to changing situations.
• Strong problem-solving skills are essential.
• Security, Military, or Law Enforcement experience is a plus.
• State license if required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day security service and uphold GardaWorld standards.
• Develop staffing schedules, payroll, and related reports.
• Maintain operation logs, records and post orders.
• Build relationships with client and staff; liaise with GardaWorld and client.
• Select, orient, train, and develop account staff.
• Maintain zero safety incidents and a strong safety culture.
• Review schedules to optimize operations and reduce costs.
• Respond to emergencies with timely communications and reporting.
• Direct, supervise, and support site officers.
• Distribute rewards and recognition; administer corrective actions up to termination.
• Supervise and manage site staff and maintain professional client relations.
• Exercise independent judgement in duties.

Responsibilities for Overnight Supervisor:

• Ensure that GardaWorld Security core values are integrated into and throughout all business practices.
• Supervise the day-to-day security service provided to the facility and ensure service is of the highest standards – capable of representing GardaWorld as the premier provider of security services in the industry.
• Assist in the development and implementation of staffing schedules, payroll, and other reports.
• Ensure that operational logs, records and post orders are maintained appropriately.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with client and employees and serve as the liaison between GardaWorld, our client, and our assigned staff.
• Assist in the selection, orientation, training, and continual development of staff assigned to the account.
• Maintain goal of zero safety incidents, while at the same time managing a robust safety culture and a robust safety program that is appropriate to the operating environments.
• Regularly review security officer schedules and staffing levels to identify opportunities for improvement of security operations, decreased risk, and reduced cost where possible.
• Be ready to respond to any operational emergency and insure timely response, timely and efficient communications and accurate reporting.
• Immediate responsibility to direct, supervise, and support site officers.
• Recommend, nominate, and distribute rewards and recognition.
• Responsible for corrective action and discipline of subordinate officers (up to formal warnings) and recommending and participating in other disciplinary decisions up to and including termination.
• Supervise & manage employees at your assigned job site.
• Maintain a healthy, professional relationship with our client at the assigned site.
• Exercise independent judgement and sound decision making in performing all duties.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications for Response Security Guard:

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
• Ability to think quickly and adapt to changing situations
• Responsive and strong problem solving skills
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
• You have a state license if required
