Responsible for daily oversight of the Security team

Description

Primary Function:

The Security Supervisor is a mid-level position within the Qualla Enterprises, LLC organizational structure and is established to aid the organization in its Security functions and overall safety. This position is to oversee the daily Security operations to ensure the safety of assets, employees, and persons on the properties owned or operated by Qualla Enterprises LLC. These specific functions are more fully explained below in the Job Duties and Responsibilities section.

Reports to: Security Manager

Supervises: Security Guard, Security Lead

Pay Grade/FLSA Status: S6/Exempt

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or equivalent required

· 2 years of related work experience in a Security field preferred

· 2 years of supervisory experience preferred

· Previous experience using CCTV/Security camera systems required

· Must be 21 years of age or older

· Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Must be able to read, perform research, produce and interpret reports and data

· Follow standard Security policies and procedures

· Maintain Security equipment and report malfunctions

· Monitor the facility

· Follow emergency response procedures to respond to weather, fire, intrusion and security breaches; document and report issues to management

· Conduct investigations as it relates to loss, theft, or diversion of cannabis from the facility

· Maintain knowledge of current laws, policies, and procedures as it relates to the securing and transportation of cannabis

· Prepare reports for operational decisions made

· Follow route guidance as given by management and in compliance with state and local laws

· Notify and coordinate with local law enforcement/emergency services in the event of a transportation emergency, fire, loss, theft and/or diversion of cannabis

· Maintain logs of operations by filing paper and electronic documents

· Provide daily reports of general Security information required by policy

· Ensure full compliance with state, and tribal laws for reporting requirements

· Maintain strong working relationships with other employees of Qualla Enterprises LLC and Tribal employees

· Responsible for the oversight and management of Security Department operations.

· Responsible for the development and training of new Security Department employees

· Responsible for interviews, candidate selection, progressive discipline, performance evaluation, and termination of Security Department employees that report to them

· Responsible for conflict resolution between employees of the Security Department

· Responsible for dispute resolution and de-escalation of customer altercations

· Keep timetables as it relates to policy and procedure of Qualla Enterprises LLC

· Other duties as assigned by management

· Able to focus on multiple duties at the same time

Physical Demands:

· Must be able to kneel, stoop, bend, grasp, reach, twist
