Job Description

Oversees and maintains the flow and balance of work in the Security Department. Responsible for providing leadership, direction, and a working environment that promotes teamwork and customer satisfaction, ensuring that service standards are met in a manner consistent with SMC's/EDM's mission, vision, and values. Persons holding this position must perform all duties of a Security Officer, including initial incident response, interviewing, and investigations. This role may require working across multiple campuses and shifts.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent, or two years of related training and experience, preferably in healthcare security.
• FEMA Level 100 or higher certification upon hire.
• Driving may be necessary; compliance with all state laws and requirements for driving is required. Proof of driver’s license and auto insurance may be requested.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of related experience and/or training, preferably in Healthcare Security and Safety.
• Basic Security Officer Certification and Supervisory Development Certification through the International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety upon hire.
