Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience supervising security and operating security technology preferred.
• Strong communication, reporting, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a team of security officers on site.
• Manage access control and technical security systems across the site.
• Ensure all officers follow post orders and Securitas protocols.
• Communicate routine patrols and ensure proper site coverage at all times.
• Serve as on-site point of contact for day‑to‑day security activities, access concerns, and campus needs.
• Inspect posts as scheduled and meet with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities.
• Respond to incidents and manage emergency situations effectively.
• Train new officers and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
• Assist in the submission of payroll and personnel information to the company as designated.
• Maintain detailed reports, incident documentation, and daily activity logs.

Security Supervisor — Full Time

Primary Location: Bloomington, MN

Wage: $31.00/HR

Available Schedule: 1st / Day Shift

The Day Shift Security Supervisor serves as a key point of contact for daily campus security, electronic access control, front desk operations, and Facilities support. This position combines traditional security responsibilities with hands‑on technical support for card access, badge administration, CCTV monitoring, security systems, and day‑to‑day troubleshooting.

This role required an individual who is focused, dependable, technically capable, customer‑service oriented, and motivated to learn. Daily priorities may change based on security concerns, employee needs, access issues, contractor activity, emergencies, projects, and campus operations. The officer must be able to assess priorities, investigate issues, take ownership, and work effectively without relying solely on step‑by‑step direction.

Position Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• At least supervisor and security technology experience needed.
• Proficient computer / technology skills needed.
• Must have strong communication, reporting, and organization skills.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills required.
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a highly professional manner.
• Utilize strong conflict resolution and de‑escalation skills to maintain a safe and secure environment on site.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in Securitas’ pre‑employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
