Job summary

Bird Rock Systems seeks a Security Strategy Consultant to advise customers on strengthening cybersecurity programs, reducing risk, and aligning security investments with business goals. You will work with security leaders and vCISOs to assess posture, develop roadmaps, and enhance governance practices.

The role targets cybersecurity professionals ready to grow into business advisory and leadership positions, requiring curiosity, strong communication, and a client‑facing mindset.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years in cybersecurity or related field.
• Experience conducting security assessments and risk identification.
• Familiarity with CIS Controls, NIST, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2.
• Strong written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security maturity assessments using recognized frameworks.
• Identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Help develop achievable security roadmaps.
• Support governance programs and policy development.
• Translate findings into business-focused recommendations.
• Prepare executive-level reports and presentations.
