Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is seeking a SECURITY STRATEGY ANALYST (GS-0301-13) to direct and manage security for directed exercises, wargames, and events involving SAP, CAP, and other sensitive programs within Joint Staff (J7).
The role covers planning and implementing security program strategies across the U.S. and allied partners, developing policies, and overseeing media storage at various classification levels. Telework eligibility is noted.
This position is part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The incumbent will be responsible for directing and managing security for directed exercises, wargames, special projects, and events, specific to Special Access Programs (SAP), Compartmented Access Programs (CAP), and Collateral/Sensitive Compartmented Information, related to Joint Staff (J7) functions.
As a SECURITY STRATEGY ANALYST at the GS-0301-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Implements supporting procedures and practices to cover J-7 and shared OSD/Joint Staff, Service, combatant commands, defense agencies, partner and ally security objectives and advises and supports internal and external groups to identify and resolve significant security issues.
Provides leadership in working groups, supporting interagency and international study groups, meetings, and conferences, providing strategy guidance and feedback. Plans, implements, and monitors the J-7's broader security program strategies spanning U.S., intelligence community, and ally and partner controls. Develops program plans, policies, procedures and implements the oversight and administrative functions supporting J-7 personnel.
Manages, inventories, secures, and destroys J-7 storage media of varying classification levels.
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.

The posted pay range is $121785 – $158322/yr.
