Job summary

ProSync seeks a junior PERSEC Security Specialist to support personnel security programs protecting national security interests by ensuring access to classified information meets eligibility requirements. You will provide administrative and operational support for processing actions, determinations, and compliance within DoD and IC environments.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and a TS/SCI-clearance with SAP/SAR eligibility.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance or higher with SAP/SAR eligibility is required.
• IAT/IAM Level II certification required.
• Less than three years of experience in personnel security or related disciplines.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher; or an Associate’s Degree with 4 years of relevant experience (or 6 years substitution).
• Strong organizational, administrative, and record-management skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and classified information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Support personnel security activities including security clearances and access determinations.
• Maintain security records and databases; assist with processing actions.

ProSync is seeking a passionate Junior-Level PERSEC Security Specialist to support Personnel Security (PERSEC) programs that protect national security interests by ensuring individuals entrusted with access to classified information meet established eligibility and suitability requirements. This role provides administrative and operational support for personnel security processes, access determinations, clearance actions, and security compliance efforts within Department of Defense and Intelligence Community environments. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and interested in developing expertise in personnel security operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

A Junior-Level PERSEC Security Specialist will be tasked with the following:

• Support personnel security activities involving security clearances, access eligibility determinations, indoctrinations, and debriefings.
• Assist with processing personnel security actions and maintaining security records and databases.
• Review personnel security documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable requirements.
• Support security clearance tracking and access management activities.
• Coordinate with employees, contractors, government customers, and security offices regarding personnel security actions.
• Assist in preparing reports, correspondence, briefings, and security documentation.
• Support security compliance reviews, inspections, and audits related to personnel security programs.
• Maintain personnel security files and ensure proper handling of sensitive and classified information.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities involving clearance verification and access management.
• Monitor and track personnel security actions to ensure timely completion and follow-up.
• Support investigations, incident reporting, and security-related administrative actions as required.
• Assist with security awareness and personnel security education initiatives.

• Less than three (3) years of experience supporting personnel security, security administration, government compliance, human resources security functions, or related disciplines.
• Understanding of basic personnel security concepts and security compliance principles.
• Strong organizational, administrative, and record-management skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and classified information with discretion and professionalism.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under the guidance of senior security professionals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and security tracking systems preferred.
• Must hold an active IAT/IAM Level II certification. (i.e. Security+, CySA+, SSCP, GICSP, GSEC, CND, CCNA Security, CASP+/SecurityX, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, CCNP Security, CCSP, etc.)
• A minimum Top Secret/SCI security clearance or higher with SAP/SAR eligibility is required to be considered for this position.
  

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university (OR) an Associate’s Degree plus 4 years of additional relevant work experience may be substituted. In lieu of a degree, 6 years of additional relevant work experience may be substituted.
