Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist in Springfield, OR to help keep guests and team members safe while maintaining a welcoming store atmosphere. The role involves responding to incidents, monitoring activity with surveillance, and supporting loss prevention efforts in a fast-paced retail environment.

Training will be provided to learn security processes and tools. Ideal candidates are 18+, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and can communicate effectively across devices while working

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
• Effective communication skills.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
• Capable of remaining focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments: greet, help guests find what they need, and thank them at the end of each interaction.
• Respond to security incidents in a timely manner and accurately document cases.
• Conduct merchandise receipt checks to prevent theft and support loss prevention.
• Utilize Target's video surveillance system to monitor store activity.
• Collaborate with assets protection and store leadership to maintain a safe and secure environment.
