Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist to help protect guests, team members, and the brand in a dynamic store environment.

Responsibilities include incident response, documenting cases, and maintaining a safe shopping experience. Candidates should be 18+, possess a HS diploma, and be capable of lifting up to 40 pounds while engaging with guests and teammates in a respectful, security-conscious manner.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Capable of remaining mobile and lifting up to 40 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring guest experience by greeting and assisting guests.
• Respond to security incidents promptly and accurately document actions.
• Promote a safe environment by following AP policies and security procedures.
• Use de-escalation tactics to resolve incidents while maintaining professionalism.
• Operate Target's video surveillance and case management systems as required.
• Collaborate with store team to support guest and team safety.
