Job summary

Target is hiring a Security Specialist to help keep guests, team members, and the brand secure while delivering a welcoming shopping experience. You will learn to use the video surveillance system, document incidents, and support a safe store environment during peak hours.

The role requires 18+ years of age, a high school diploma or equivalent, and flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays. You will collaborate with a team to de-escalate situations and follow AP policies with integrity.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other tech equipment as directed.
• Effective communication skills.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
• Capable of remaining focused in a fast-paced environment and completing multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Create a friendly guest experience by greeting and assisting guests throughout the store.
• Promote a safe and secure store environment by adhering to AP policies.
• Respond to and document security incidents in a timely manner.
• Support theft prevention and merchandise loss recovery.
• Use Target's video surveillance system to monitor activity.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the case management system.
