Job summary

Mille Lacs Corporate Ventures is seeking a Security/First Aid professional to protect Guests, Associates, and the Grand Casino facility while delivering excellent Guest Service.

You will enforce regulations, respond to medical needs, manage inventory, and coordinate with all departments during emergencies to maintain a safe environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• EMTs or EMRs must have completed a nationally recognized course.
• State recognized course for EMTs required.
• Must have passed a state EMT registry examination.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of Grand Casino facilities, events and promotions to advise Guests and staff.
• Provide information for reports on security/medical incidents involving Guests/Associates.
• Ensure safe transportation of Company assets.
• Request identification from anyone under 21 to enforce regulations.
• Attend to the medical needs of Guests and Associates.
• Identify vendors/contractors and ensure proper IDs.
• Communicate with departments during emergencies or urgent situations.
• Maintain oxygen, wheelchairs, first aid supplies, and related inventory.
• Familiar with hazardous materials and applicable laws.
• Familiar with fire protection system, alarm panel and response protocol.
• Familiar with OSHA standards and conduct timely inspections.

SUMMARY

Responsible for executing security, first aid, emergency medical attention duties to protect the life and property of Guests, Associates, and Grand Casino entire facility while providing excellent Guest Service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

• Maintains a working knowledge of Grand Casino facilities, marketing events and promotions in order to advise Guests and fellow Associates of current events.
• Provide necessary information for reports regarding security/medical related incidents involving Guests, Associates, and/or the facility.
• Will ensure safe transportation of Company assets.
• Requests identification from all persons who appear under the age of 21 to ensure compliance with state and federal gaming regulations.
• Attends to the medical needs of Guests and Associates.
• Ensures proper identification of all vendors/contractors.
• Communicates with all departments in the event of an emergency or in the event that requires immediate attention.
• Attend to the medical needs of Guests and Associates.
• Maintains appropriate inventory control of such items as oxygen, wheelchairs, first aid supplies, and related office supplies, to name a few.
• Be familiar with hazardous materials used on property, and all applicable laws, rules and regulations governing the same.
• Be familiar with property fire protection system, alarm panel and response protocol.
• Be familiar with OSHA standards and conduct inspections to ensure that applicable laws, rules and regulations are adhered to in a timely matter.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• EMTs or EMRs are required to have successfully completed a nationally recognized course.
• Successful completion of a state recognized course for Emergency Medical Technicians.
• Successfully passed a state EMT registry examination.
