Job summary

Target Security Specialist position within Target’s Assets Protection team. You will engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach while maintaining store safety and addressing incidents using established procedures.

The role requires de-escalation skills, physical security awareness, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Training is provided to build expertise in loss prevention and guest service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Create a friendly guest experience by greeting and assisting guests.
• Respond to security incidents and document them promptly in the case management system.
• Maintain a safe store environment, deter theft, and follow AP policies.
• Conduct merchandise receiving checks and prevent theft while adhering to policy.
• Utilize Target's video surveillance system and communicate trends to the team.
