Job summary

Target Security Specialist position at Target is part of the Assets Protection group, focused on protecting guests and store assets in a dynamic retail environment. You may use intelligence-led tactics, respond to incidents, and document cases using Target's policies and case-management systems.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds and climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Support sales by welcoming guests and assisting on the floor.
• Lead a physical security culture and enforce safe standards.
• Respond to security incidents and document them in the system.
• Conduct merchandise recoveries and assist with apprehensions.
• Prevent theft by performing receipt checks and following AP policies.
• Train team members on merchandise protection and shortage focus.
• Operate the video system and escalate guest issues as needed.
