Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist at our Somerville store to protect guests and team members while ensuring a safe shopping environment. The role involves greeting customers, responding to incidents, and supporting loss prevention through de-escalation and documentation.

Candidates should be at least 18 with a high school diploma or equivalent and be comfortable using handheld scanners and surveillance technology.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Meet any state or local licensure or other requirements.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners.
• Effective communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and assist with finding products or resolving issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
• Respond to and document security incidents in a timely manner.
• De-escalate situations and use security protocols as needed.
• Conduct merchandise reception checks and assist with loss prevention as required.
• Document incidents in the case management system following AP policies and procedures.
• Operate Target's video surveillance system and support安全 compliance.
