Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist to help protect guests, team members, and the brand at our Fort Wayne store. You will use intelligence-led tactics, respond to incidents, and support a safe shopping environment.

You will work a flexible schedule, greet guests, assist with safety, and document cases in our systems. The role requires 18+ and a high school diploma, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
• Effective communication skills.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments: greet guests and assist them to find what they need for a smooth shopping experience.
• Respond to security incidents and document them promptly in the case management system.
• Support store team with safety, de-escalation, and incident resolution.
• Conduct merchandise theft recoveries and assist with theft apprehension per AP policies.
• Maintain safety standards store-wide and around exterior property.
• Operate Target's video surveillance system and document incidents accurately.
• Report hazards and follow AP policies to ensure a safe work environment.
