Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist in Overland Park to help protect guests, team members and merchandise. You will greet guests, respond to incidents, and assist with theft prevention while maintaining a positive store culture.

The role requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights and holidays. Training will cover de-escalation and the use of surveillance systems.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners as directed.
• Open to working a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and help them find what they need to create a friendly shopping experience.
• Respond to security incidents and document them accurately in the case management system.
• Conduct merchandise theft recoveries and provide theft apprehension support as needed.
• Use Target's video surveillance system to monitor store activity and incidents.
• Collaborate with store teammates to promote safety and security throughout the operation.
