Target is seeking a Security Specialist in Virginia Roanoke to help protect guests, team members and the brand. The role emphasizes friendly guest experiences, crisis response, de-escalation, and use of Target's surveillance systems.

You will document incidents and support store safety initiatives in a fast-paced retail setting. The position requires 18+ years of age, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet state/local licensure/requirements.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate scanners.
• Effective communication skills.
• Work independently and with a team.
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring and friendly guest experience.
• Greet guests at appropriate distances and initiate help.
• Help guests find what they need or resolve issues.
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Support teammates and maintain a positive attitude.
• Promote a safe security culture throughout the store.
• Document security incidents promptly in the case system.
