Job summary

Project Enhancement Corporation (PEC) in Germantown, MD is seeking a Security Specialist to support the DOE Office of Industrial Security on the Entity Triage/Facility Clearance (FCL) team. The role reviews security specifications, handles data in SSIMS, and supports vetting contract awardees for access to classified information.

Qualifications

• Experience in Industrial Security, Intelligence Analysis or Contracting and Procurement.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in engineering, law enforcement, or security management.
• Knowledge of protecting classified material, computer and physical security.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment with evolving hours.

Responsibilities

• Review CSCS and FDAR data and enter into SSIMS for tracking.
• Provide written analysis on DOE contract awardees requiring access to classified information.
• Support annual oversight activities to determine continued eligibility for FCLs.
• Coordinate access authorizations for KMP and Facility Security Officers.
• Process facility data for new facilities and revisions to submissions.
• Assist in planning the Annual DOE Complex-wide FOCI/FCL Workshop.
