Job summary

Target in Montclair, CA is seeking a Security Specialist to help protect guests, team members and assets in a fast-paced retail environment. You will work with the Assets Protection team to deter theft and respond to incidents in-store.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork and a flexible schedule; training is provided to help you learn the procedures and tools used to keep the store safe.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and guest-service orientation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Use intelligence-led tactics to keep team members and guests safe.
• Crisis response, safety and crowd management; support to guests and team members.
• De-escalation and use of security controls; monitor store activities.
• Operate Target video surveillance system and document incidents in the case management system.
• Maintain a culture of safety, ethics and compliance.
• Assist guests and peers to deliver a smooth store experience.
