Job summary

Target in Apex, NC is seeking a Security Specialist to help keep guests and team members safe while deterring theft and resolving incidents. You will use video surveillance and case management tools to document actions and ensure safe store operations.

You will join a fast-paced environment, work flexible shifts, and apply Target's AP policies with a service-oriented approach. Training will cover safety, de‑escalation, and loss-prevention procedures.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet state/local licensure and/or other legal requirements.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and handheld scanners.
• Effective communication skills; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring guest experience and assist guests.
• Respond to security incidents and document cases in the case management system.
• Use Target's video surveillance system to monitor store activities.
• Prevent theft and assist in merchandise recalls and losses.
• Maintain safety standards and adhere to AP policies.
