Job summary

United Launch Alliance, the world’s most experienced space launch company, is seeking a Security Specialist at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station to support the security program for launch operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of related experience; DoD TS/SCI clearance with US citizenship is required; travel ~10%. Familiarity with security protocols and OPSEC is essential to protect critical information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 4 years of related work experience required.
• An additional 4 years of related exempt work experience may substitute the degree.
• Familiarity with security and emergency protocols, access-control systems, and CCTV systems.
• Demonstrates outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, etc.
• Ability to represent company interests with minimal supervision and a team mindset.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI security clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with government and company regulations and policies.
• Supports threat management and conducts security investigations.
• Acts as primary security interface to launch customers and mission teams.
• Interprets customer security requirements and coordinates compliance.
• Supports security requirements during launch campaigns, including badging and incident response.
• Oversees contract security staffing, incident reporting, and billing.
• Maintains relationships with base security and other agencies.
• Supports OPSEC program development, education, and controls.
• Supports COMSEC responsibilities, including inventory and destruction.
• Supports SCIF/SAPF compliance, testing and inspections.
• Reviews customer security docs and ensures alignment with processes.
• Contributes to crisis management and mass-communication exercises.
• Provides cross-site support with ~10% travel.
