Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Manager, Security in Redmond, WA to lead the security program for company facilities and assets. You will develop the security strategy, supervise a wide team, and coordinate with federal and local agencies, while ensuring compliance with ITAR and related regulations.

The role requires 10+ years in security, 5+ years in security management, and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance; FAA Part 107 Drone license is needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 10+ years of experience in the field of security.
• 5+ years of security management experience supervising and directing staff across a wide range of operating functions.
• Experience with ITAR.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate the overall strategy for site security, aligning it with SpaceX’s business objectives
• Become the trusted security advisor to senior management and leaders across the organization through high-level communication and excellent briefing skills
• Establish procedures and protocols to assess, identify, and mitigate any security vulnerabilities or gaps
• Maintain security equipment such as cameras, alarms, and access control systems
• Make effective decisions in both routine and crisis situations
• Address and resolve security issues promptly, effectively, and independently
