Garden Life Development is seeking a Security Specialist for a full-time temporary W-2 role in North Carolina. You will monitor security tools, respond to incidents, and support vulnerability management and risk assessments.

Assignments vary; on-site, hybrid, or remote depending on project. Requires SOC-type experience, knowledge of SIEM, and familiarity with NIST CSF/800-53; bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

• Experience in information security, a security operations center (SOC), or a security-focused IT role.
• Working knowledge of SIEM, endpoint detection and response, and vulnerability scanning tools.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, or ISO 27001.
• Understanding of networking, Windows/Linux systems, and identity and access management.
• Clear written communication for incident reports and audit documentation.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Degrees and certifications are verified before placement.

Security Specialist | Full-Time Temporary (W-2)

Pay: $34.00 - $58.00 per hour (W-2), based on experience level and assignment
Location: North Carolina; on-site, hybrid, or remote depending on the assignment

As a Security Specialist, you'll help client organizations keep their systems, networks, and data safe. Depending on the assignment, you may focus on security monitoring, vulnerability management, identity and access, or security compliance — working alongside infrastructure, application, and leadership teams.

What you'll do
