Job summary

FedEx Group seeks a regional security resource to support on-site security programs protecting people, assets, and brand. You will conduct risk assessments, manage urgent incidents, and lead investigations into workplace violence, fraud, and losses, while liaising with law enforcement and regulatory agencies.

You will monitor security technologies, track metrics, and train business partners on security best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in directly related field (security, audit, law enforcement, or related areas).
• Three years of related experience in corporate security, audit, military, law enforcement, transportation, or loss analytics.
• Strong interpersonal communication, writing skills, problem-solving abilities; knowledge of Microsoft-based programs and ability to prepare detailed reports.

Responsibilities

• Leads district level security program efforts, ensuring safety of People, Assets, and Brand within the assigned location.
• Encompasses strategic security planning at specific assigned location(s).
• Investigates incidents involving workplace violence, security breaches, losses, fraud, or integrity concerns through interviews and evidence reviews.
• Liaises with law enforcement and regulatory agencies to support investigations and compliance.
• Monitors security plans and technologies, including surveillance cameras and access control systems.
• Tracks and reports on established security program goals and metrics; addresses gaps or physical security concerns.
• Trains business partners on security best practices.
• Initiates on-site reviews and action plans related to security shipping concerns; travel may be necessary.
• Maintains knowledge of TSA, FAA, company policies, and IC/ISP agreements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Acts as liaison with law enforcement and regulatory agencies, and oversees on-site security technologies. Tracks key metrics, mitigates risks, and assists in training business partners on security best practices.

Essential Functions

• Leads district level security program efforts, ensuring the safety and security of our People, Assets, and Brand within the assigned location.
• Encompasses strategic security planning at specific assigned location(s).
• Key responsibilities include security risk assessments, response to urgent security matters, lead investigations into incidents involving potential workplace violence, security breaches, losses, fraud, or integrity concerns through interviews and evidence reviews.
• Serves as liaison with law enforcement and governmental regulatory agencies, to support investigations and compliance efforts.
• Monitors security plans and technologies, including surveillance cameras and access control systems.
• Tracks and reports on established key security program goals and metrics, and addresses gaps or physical security concerns.
• Assists department’s efforts in training business partners on security best practices.
• Initiates in-person/on-site visits with customers as needed to review and formulate action plans related to various security shipping concerns, including but not limited to lost, pilfered and/or damaged shipments.
• Maintains a broad and thorough knowledge base across all regulatory areas, to include TSA and FAA, company policies, and IC/ISP agreements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degree/Equivalent in directly related field. Related fields may include corporate security, audit, military, law enforcement, transportation or supply chain loss prevention, loss analytics.

Minimum Experience

Three (3) years related experience required in corporate security, audit, military, law enforcement, transportation or supply chain loss prevention, and/or loss analytics.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong interpersonal communication, writing skills, and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of Microsoft based computer programs and the ability to prepare detailed reports. Ability to complete required training programs. Must maintain a valid driver's license to operate company vehicle.

Job Conditions

Non-covered safety sensitive position; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. If required to carry a firearm as part of job duties, subject to random drug testing. Works in an industrial environment and must adhere to all safety considerations. Travel may be necessary.
