SpaceX is seeking a Principal Security Software Engineer for Starlink in the US, focusing on securing software across product lines and cryptographic services. You will influence security design, work across systems, and engage with engineering teams to outsmart adversaries at scale.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in CS or STEM and 8+ years of security software development, or 10+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages: Python, C++, Golang.
• Experience designing security for OS, distributed systems, or large-scale infra.

Responsibilities

• Design and build security infrastructure for Starlink, incl. cryptographic services and security-critical services.
• Develop security features for Starlink systems (router, dish, gateways, satellites).
• Integrate security into factory processes and provide network services in support of this.
• Maintain production systems and improve security posture via implementation and guidance to teams.
• Build prototypes and test security improvements.
• Advance SpaceX mission by providing secure and reliable Internet to underserved communities.
