Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Security Software Engineer to drive security, integrity, and resilience across software products. You will design, develop, test, and maintain Windows desktop applications and security solutions within an Agile team.

The role requires 4–7 years in software security and automation, a CS/SE degree, and strong coding skills in C/C++ and C#.NET. Certifications like CISSP/SSCP are preferred and knowledge of Azure DevOps is a plus.

Qualifications

• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in software security and automation, or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and security solutions.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, debugging, and integration.
• Develop and maintain features for Windows desktop applications and services.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve software issues.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Create and execute unit tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
• Work in an Agile development environment and contribute to sprint planning and execution.
• Learn and apply security best practices in software design and implementation.
• Support product releases and maintenance activities as needed.
