HP in the United States is seeking a software engineer focused on security to design, develop, and maintain Windows desktop applications and services. You will participate in all SDLC phases, implement security best practices, and contribute to Agile sprint planning.

The role requires 4–7 years of relevant experience and a degree in CS or Software Engineering. Strong debugging, collaboration, and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Four-year or graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience in software security, automation, or related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with Windows application development and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and security solutions.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle including design, coding, testing, and integration.
• Develop features for Windows desktop applications and services.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve software issues.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Create unit tests to ensure quality and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and follow SDLC best practices.
• Work in an Agile environment and contribute to sprint planning and execution.
• Apply security best practices in design and implementation.
• Support product releases and maintenance activities as needed.
