Verkada Inc. seeks a Security Software Engineering Intern for 2027 in San Mateo, CA. You will join the Backend Engineering team to design and deploy scalable services in a privacy-sensitive AI platform used globally.

Key tech includes Python and Go APIs, distributed systems, Redis, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, and cloud tooling like Terraform and Kubernetes. On-site presence in 2027 is required and interns receive housing support and food perks.

Qualifications

• Ability to work on-site at Verkada HQ in San Mateo during winter or summer 2027
• Pursuing CS degree and graduating by June 2028
• Prior internship experience developing and launching products
• Familiar with Python, Golang, distributed systems, AWS, Docker

Responsibilities

• Build scalable distributed systems for high traffic across devices worldwide
• Work with Redis and DynamoDB for high-concurrency storage
• Develop with Postgres relational databases
• Deploy services using Terraform and Kubernetes
• Design APIs in Python and Go
• Incorporate computer vision features into product capabilities
