Job summary

GardaWorld Security Services is seeking a Security Shift Supervisor for a part-time shift at Swan Island, Portland, OR. The role focuses on leading a security team, ensuring excellent customer service, and coordinating scheduling and incident reporting.

The ideal candidate has prior supervisory and security/military/law enforcement experience, is 21+, and can pass extensive screening while adhering to DPSST standards. Background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience
• You have previous supervisor experience is a must.
• You have your Oregon DPSST.
• You are at least 21.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assign day-to-day responsibilities to the team.
• Handle scheduling, performance reports, continuing in-service training, crew and program evaluation, and disciplinary action.
• Maintain a daily log and file incident reports.
• Abide by Oregon State law and Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) certification standards.
• Commit to further training beyond DPSST certification standards, specifically in de-escalation techniques and safety training.

Ready to suit up as a Security Shift Supervisor? (Experience Required)

• Site Location: Swan Island, Portland, Oregon
• Set schedule: Part-time. Friday & Saturday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., Days, 16 Hours
• Competitive hourly wage of $23 / Hour (DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees!)

Responsibilities Of a Security Shift Supervisor

• Do you have previous military, law enforcement, or armed guard experience? Are able to lead and assign day-to-day responsibilities to the team?
• You are an amazing multi-task. With experience in duties such as scheduling, performance reports, continuing in-service training, crew and program evaluation, and disciplinary action.
• You understand the importance of maintaining a daily log and filing incident reports..
• You will abide by Oregon State law and Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (“DPSST”) certification standards.
• You will commit to further training beyond DPSST certification standards, specifically in de-escalation techniques, mental health crisis response, trauma-informed care interventions, and social service safety net referrals if requested.
