Job summary

Coushatta is seeking a Security Supervisor to oversee the security team on the assigned shift, enforcing policy and safety controls across the facility. The role includes training, scheduling, evaluating Security Officers, and ensuring rapid reporting of potential hazards to protect customers and staff.

• Back up Security Officers on the shift and assume duties as needed.
• Interview, hire, and train associates; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; address complaints and resolve problems.

Job description

Responsible for the efficient operation of the Security Department on assigned shift, in accordance with the company's established policies, procedures and controls. Implements departmental and company procedures, then trains, schedules, supervises and evaluates Security Officers on assigned shift. Patrols the property on assigned shift, identifying potential security and/or safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate individual, to ensure the safety and protection of customers, associates and the entire facility. Acts as a back up to Security Officers on assigned shift, and assumes their duties when necessary. Supervises all Security Officers on assigned shift. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints, resolving problems, and terminating employment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or four to six years related experience, or an equivalent combination of college and experience is preferred.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of two years' experience in law enforcement or gaming security preferred. Excellent communication skills required.
