Job summary

Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority is seeking a Security Shift Manager to oversee all security patrol operations across LVCVA property. You will lead shift supervision teams, ensure best practices, and maintain compliance while supporting large-scale events.

The role requires a High School Diploma, 3+ years of supervisory security experience, and the ability to manage incidents, train staff, and coordinate with partners. Flexibility for on-site coverage is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required; a bachelor’s degree in justice studies, criminal justice, or a related field is preferred.
• At least three years of progressive supervisory or management experience in security or law enforcement environments.
• Verifiable record of operational leadership, successful team management, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Skilled in responding to situations requiring defensive tactics and handling emergencies with composure.
• Strong written and verbal English communication; able to write clear reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and evaluate the security shift supervision teams, ensuring safety and security standards.
• Oversee incident investigations and review reports for accuracy and timeliness; escalate major issues.
• Develop, coordinate, and implement training for the shift and organize drills for emergencies.
• Coordinate security planning for large-scale events with internal and external partners.
• Manage department schedules and overtime, monitor costs and ensure proper coverage.
