What You Will Do

Service Technicians with a West Virginia Low Voltage/Fire Alarm License will diagnose problems and perform service and repairs on card access, CCTV, burglar alarm systems, electronic fire alarm systems, and other related building system products at customer sites. Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service-related items. As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service.

How You Will Do It

  1. Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices and bulletins, modification notices, etc., to repair equipment.
  2. Service, troubleshoot, and install card access, CCTV, and burglar alarm systems.
  3. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
  4. Exhibit effective customer service skills by consistently communicating with staff and customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
  5. Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices such as smartphones and laptops.
  6. Obtain customer signature upon completed service call assignment.
  7. Be available for on-call emergency service.
  8. Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility efficiency, including upselling opportunities.
  9. Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required
  • This position will cover the 3 cities in WV – Morgantown, Wheeling, and Fairmont. Ideal for someone residing in SW PA or WV.
  • Requires a West Virginia state Low Voltage/Fire Alarm License.
  • 2+ years of documented experience with card access and CCTV.
  • Knowledge of test equipment, multimeter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.
  • Experience installing, inspecting, repairing, and programming card access and CCTV systems.
  • Fire alarm experience is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, submittals, and manuals.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Physical ability to carry and move equipment/tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Ability to work in challenging positions, including climbing ladders, scaffolding, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
  • Flexible working hours, including weekends, and overnight travel may be required.
  • High level of customer service skills.
  • Maintain truck inventory for timely response.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and quick learner.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Pass pre-employment background and drug tests.
  • Knowledge of applicable NFPA standards.
Preferred
  • NICET II certification preferred.
