The Security Technician is responsible for managing all aspects of access control and video products and systems installed at client sites. The Security Technician must be able to independently install, program, troubleshoot and perform maintenance on electronic devices, power supplies and all network components.

Responsibilities

• As a Security Technician, the successful candidate will be hard working, detail-oriented, highly organized and able to work independently to maintain security hardware in the client’s and company’s best interests.
• Install/Service Access Control and video systems according to engineered drawings.
• Program, terminate and commission a wide range of Access Control & Video products and platforms.
• Must be able to identify and resolve issues that would have a negative impact on job productivity.
• Thoroughly complete all necessary paperwork relating to job tickets.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 years of field installation/service of access control, IP cameras and security systems.
• Certifications in Genetec, Software House, AMAG and / or other Access Control platforms a plus.
• Certifications in Genetec, Pelco, American Dynamics, Bosch and / or other Video products a plus.
• Experienced in the installation/service of door hardware such as strikes and magnetic locks.
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision; must be a self-starter and quick learner.
